    What is this related post? Is it necessary for my website?

    i never understood this nor do i know how to make it work. Right now, to me it looks annoying to have it there empty. Can anyone help me out with it or fix it for me? I don't understood the purpose. If i know how to make it work or understand its functionality, i would probably find it useful or not useful.

    here's my website: http://www.unlockchiropractic.com

    thanks! :)

    Such as this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/related-posts-by-category/ (which may explain better)- related posts are posts which are in the same category as the post one is on, or have the same tags.

    It is best to create a Child Theme when making any major changes to your theme, because when your theme is updated, any changes will be lost.

    In your theme's "style.css", find:

    #related-posts {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F9F9F9;
        border-bottom: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
        border-top: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
        margin: 30px 0;
        padding: 20px;
    }

    Copy it and place this in the Child Theme's "style.css" and alter it to read:

    #related-posts {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F9F9F9;
        border-bottom: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
        border-top: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
        margin: 30px 0;
        padding: 20px;
        display:none;
    }
