I reinstalled my wordpress this way:
renaming my "old" wordpress-directory (blog/) to "blog.old/"
dropping my database and creating a new one (show tables; is answered with "Empty Set"), creating a new one, unzipping the wordpress.zip for my language in a new "blog/" folder and trying to restart the install-routine. But WordPress don't want to reinstall. It says everything is installed. If I login in the backend I can even use my old username/password. Aren't they saved in the mysql DB?
Where are these informations? What did I forget to kill?
Your database is still around, somehow. That's the only explanation.

there was a backup I unzipped in a wrong directory. wordpress used that database, even if it shouldn't know that there is a database, too. What does WordPress do? :(
Even mySQL didn't notice this database...
Now deleted that path (I didn't even thought of, that wordpress could use a database, that may lay in this backup-path)
and the database is gone... my blog-administrator did some layout things with that wordpress blog... is that away, too? I hope not. He will not be very happy with me. 8(
(I didn't delete the source-path of the wordpress blog, just the database that wordpress seemingly used)
