I'm new to WP, actually checking its possibilities.

I'm making a website for my kajak club and want to know if the following features can be achieved with WP and some modules (I hope I'm posting at the right place):

    • Superadmin creates static pages
    • Events: registered users can join the events
    • Reservation: this is very important; registered users can make kajak reservations
    • Registered users can upload pictures into galleries (eventually blogposts)
    • Users can register through a form. Admin has to approve registration

I will appreciate any idea and suggestion

  2. Not sure why you need multsite. Unless each member has their own blog too. Nothing in that list makes me think of multisite.

Users can register through a form. Admin has to approve registration

built in to multisite, yes. also available on single sites with buddypress.

    Superadmin creates static pages

    built in to wordpress

    Thanks for your answer.
I don't think members will be using blogs too much, but they will definetly use upload pictures to create galleries.

User self registration and administration aproval is a must. I want to keep things simple, so if it can be done with wordpress, all right; if it has to be done with buddypress, all right. I'm just looking for the simplest and easiest way.

I have yet to try the diferent modules for reservation and events. Any other useful plugins?

  4. but they will definetly use upload pictures to create galleries.

But you do not need multsite to the this. there are plenty of plguins to allow contributors to ONE blog to add pictures and galleries.

User self registration and administration approval is a must.

built in, moderation plugins. Again, can do this on a single blog.

Note: you're in the *multisite* forum. that's why I keep mentioning it. Not convinced you need it, as you keep asking for the simplest way.

Got it! ;) And still has to be the simplest way.

I'll move my questions to the other forums.

Still have to find a free reservation-plugin that's solid enough and really free
