The user registration doesn't work. When a user signs up, a user account is being installed, but the email with the password is not sent to the new user. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

Are you getting emails from WP when people comment etc? It's possible your server's not set up to send emails.

Posted 5 months ago #That's what I suppose, as I don't get emails at all, even in case of pending comments. I have moved to another server a few days ago. (My former server needed 24 hours to submit the mails, but finally, it did.) Is there something that ought to be done on the server for that purpose?

Posted 5 months ago #I should add that the support tells me already to have set up the server for mails, and they have checked it, but not with the wp registration or contact form.

Ask them if PHP is allowed to email.
