Refuses to tweet with images

Hi

I am using the latest version of the plugin after the many many updates, and can’t get it to tweet with the post featured image in the tweet. If I uncheck that option and send a sample tweet it works fine, but as soon as I select “Post with image”, I can’t send a tweet. The error message at the top of the Tweet Old Post PRO configuration page is “Error for your last tweet was :’Error creating status.’

Any idea what is going on here? I only bought the pro version for this feature of being able to tweet images, so I am kind of disappointed it doesn’t work!

Did you update to the latest version of Pro? Because this issue has been resolved in the latest update.

The thing is that we use either file_get_contents which is not available on all the servers, or if we don’t find this installed we use curl .

So a solution is to activate file_get_contents on your hosting site.

Just bought the Pro version and I’ve got the same problem. When I tick Add Image I get ‘Error creating status’. I hope a solution can be found as this is why I bought the Pro version. A bit disappointed also that the multiple Twitter account option doesn’t have separate scheduling for each account. But I can live with this.

@all Can we move this on friends@themeisle.com ? We are not really allowed to offer PRO support on those forums.

Can you check with your hosting that file_get_contents function is enabled or curl ?

I don’t quite understand your last post. Is Tweet Old Post Pro support only available by email at friends@themeisle.com ?

Hi Bob,

Email/live chat and very soon our support forum, wordpress.org doesn’t allow support of the paid plugins here.

btw do you have 1.4.1 as pro version ?

Images are working beautifully now! Thanks. I’d happily pay again if your plugin offered scheduling for separate Twitter accounts. But that’s just my wish list. Thanks again for a very useful Twitter plugin.

I’ve noticed that Tweet Old Post is often sending multiple Tweets, even though I have set it for one post per Tweet every three hours. Not a huge issue, but one that could be looked at in your next update.
