   After importing an XML file through WordPress Tools>Import, wordpress redirects in loop to install.php.
   I've tried everything, re-import, re-install like 4 ou 5 times...I don't know what to do anymore...I need to import the xml that have almost a year of posts!

   Is this a bug?Or could be server problem?
   Help please.

   Hi!
   I still have this problem..new server,new wordpress installation and when I've tried to import xml backup file bam! redirects me to install screen...

   Does someone knows why this happens?

   Sounds like you're importing a problem into the new database.

   I don't understand why this happens, because I've imported the exact same file to a wordpress.com blog and worked just fine!
   I can only imagine to be a problem with my hosting service/server...
