    Hi Everyone,

This is a bit involved I think, but hoping to get someone feedback on the best way to go about me moving my site to a new domain name.

    Here's the deal:

I have this site currently with well over 200 posts + pages. Started a new site and want to begin transferring most of those articles over but not the pages.

However, I do want to keep the home page mysite.com/ where I'm going to keep it as a type of landing page / portal telling people about the new site and adding some calls to actions.

So I'm thinking thinking of one of two ways to go about this:

Option #1. Export all the posts to the new site and then use the Redirection Plugin to direct those posts from the old site to post on new site. With pages I can just redirect to home page of new site or a landing page. Hopefully this will take care of any 404 error pages.

Option #2. Redirect ALL pages from the old site to a landing page on the new site with some information about the new changes. I'm assuming I would have to create an htacesss file for this????

Anyway, your feedback would be REALLY appreciate. Option #1 seems like it may be a very tedious task but just trying to figure out the best way to go about this.

    Thanks!!
