Redirects for urls with index.php (3 posts)

I've recently migrated a WordPress site to GoDaddy. The previous permalink structure had index.php in it, http://www.example.com/index.php/biography

I've successfully updated the permalink structure to omit the index.php, http://www.example.com/biography The site works fine. Google, however, is still serving the old links. I've resubmitted a sitemap so those links should eventually be updated. In the meantime, how do I redirect users from the old link to the new one as accessing the old link produces a 'No input file specified' error.

I've tried these 2 WordPress plugins:
Redirection and Simple 301 Redirects, but they did not work.

I've also tried some suggestions from various WordPress support threads to modify the .htaccess file with rewrite rules but they did not work.

In short, how can I redirect from
    http://www.example.com/index.php/biography
    to
    http://www.example.com/biography

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bump This

I have exactly the same issue all index.php URLs go to "No input file specified"

Did you find a solution to this?

Ok well I just found a solution in case you haven't.

You can dind it here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/help-redirecting-permalinks?replies=7

And basically it involves adding this to your .htaccess file:

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index.php/(.*)$ /$1 [R=301,L]
