    goal: I want a tab on my nav menu to take me to a page outside of WP. I was told that has be done as a redirect withing the WP. How would I get that done (not a coding expert!)

    Does your theme use the built-in custom menus feature? If so, go to Appearance > Menus and edit your menu there. You’ll be allowed to choose an external link if you want.

    hi Zoonini..yes, I have that but not understanding how to do it…

    if I have a tab x that when ppl click on needs to redirect them to an outside page y, how would I do that?

    I managed to create a new menu that redirects to the outside page – awesome, BUT that one tab (as a part of the new custom menu) completely erases my existing menu….how do I fix that? I would just like to add a tab with redirect to the existing menu…

    Just add the other pages etc that you want to your new menu.
