Okay. SO. For our school newspaper we have a website hosted by GoDaddy with out own domain name, bobcatbanner.com. And we have been have load time issues and speed issues with the site.
And so out of the blue, our advisor for the class made a new site under my.hsj.org. We all like the layout of the site and dont have our previous page load issues.
But the thing is since the new site is under my.hsj.org we have a longer name now and more confusing.
Since we still have a year of rights to the old domain (bobcatbanner.com) with godaddy. I was wondering if we could use the old domain as a redirect to the new site.
I have been researching 301 and 302 redirects and im unsure how to proceed.
Do i just add the extra code to the site to redirect it?
Do i uninstall WordPress and erase all of our files and then add the code.
And also which coding is preferable to use? (.htaccess? php?)
