[resolved] Redirecting Members to a separate blog with Members Only (4 posts)

    I looked for an answer to this but couldn't seem to find anything. I'll try not to confuse anyone and be as clear as possible.

    I have my blog setup so when members go to the login page at (www.website.com/blog) and login they're redirected to (www.members.website.com) with a different wordpress installation. Is it possible for me to use a members only plugin to only let members from (www.website.com/blog) have access to the redirected blog at (www.members.website.com)?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

    Hmm, wonder if modifying a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members-only/ could get you there?

    Thanks for the response Michael, I'll give it a shot and let everyone know how it goes.

    Okay, so I found a solution that will work in my case with the recommendation of Michael.

    Since this is a new site that does not actually have any members yet I set the first blogs wp-login page (www.website.com/blog/wp-login.php) to redirect to the members only blog (www.members.website.com/wp-login.php) using this simple php script:

    <?php
    header( 'Location: http://www.members.website.com/wp-login.php' ) ;
    ?>

    so that when they register they are really registering for the second blog. Then I used the plugin "Members-Only" to hide the content from non-members.

    Hopefully this helps anyone in the same situation!

    Tom
