• Hello,

I have a domain “MyDomain” pointing to a different server with some folder x/wordpressFolder. I found only two redirecting options:
    – 1 the domain redirects me to the x/wordpressFolder and doesn’t display in URL my domain but changes it to x/wordpressFolder.
    – 2 the domain redirects me and keeps the right URL (“MyDomain”) but doesn’t the URL during usage of the website.

The question is: How do I redirect my domain to my WordPress so that visitors don’t know that the blog is not on a different server and that it is not in root folder.

I would be grateful for any help! (links, tutorials, I could not find myself the right answer). Thank you!

  • Hi MateuszWP,

If I understood correctly, you want to use your domain name but displaying the content from another hosting (or domain name)?

In that case you can add a A Record or CNAME.
If you are on Cpanel, go to “Simple DNS Zone Editor” and you will be able to add those details.

    Thanks Geeksfolder,

Yes, I want to use my domain name to display the content from another hosting.

So if there is some x/wordpressFolder/unique-post, I want to be able to visit that page using the address MyDomain/unique-post.

I am reading into A Record and CName. It seems that I am on the right track. Thank you!
