redirecting 404 page bad idea?

    I have one blog that redirects to home page and another where the 404 is a sitemap. I can’t see where it makes a darn bit of difference to google.

    Thank you sam, both has it’s ups and downs from my reading on SEo sites. I think I will keep the 404 page for now but I’m glad I have the choice for the future.
