    Hi all,

I redirected my posts to pages with the "quick post redirect plugin".
My sliders are redirected to pages (like a page menu). This part works fine.

I also like to use a blog. One of the sliders should redirect to my blog.
Unfortunately new posts are shown in the slider
(Posts are not allowed to stand in the slider).

i found an working example http://www.brandonanderson.me

Anyone an idea how to solve this?

You'll find a description of how that could work here. I haven't tired it out myself though so just give it a try ;)

Hi, I am trying to do the same thing. Any tips? Looks like the link above isn't working?

    Try this: http://www.onedesigns.com/support/topic/link-slider-to-a-page-instead-of-post/page/2

Combined with maybe a second wordpress installation (one for the navigation, one for the blog). Or otherwise always rewrite the posts linking to pages to be the newest one (unnecessary work) or try them as sticky posts

EDIT: btw, one the example blog of the thread creator, they simply use the category "blog" to keep out the ones showing on the front page. Pretty simple solution and not really clean

Thank you so much! That was super helpful and seems to be working for me. I appreciate that!

One more question...I have started two categories, "Blog" and "Slider" to separate posts, but don't know how to keep the new ones from showing up on the frontpage. Help?
