Redirect Loop prohibiting ALL site access (4 posts)

    Hi guys,

I run http://www.ukmlb.co.uk and after installing some buddypress plugins earlier, I attempted to see the liove site, and was presented with the seemingly age old problem of the redirect loop.

I can't access any page, including the home and /wp-admin/ apart from any 404 page, such as /wp-admin/pages.php

I can't access the FTP server as I don't have any idea what password I set it up with, and I am a total rookie with cPanel, FTP etc...

I have cleared cookies and cache, resulting in no help.

    Any ideas?

I have the same problem...I set up my site under its own directory long time ago. Just updated the Genesis framework theme, and the wordpress to 3.5 now I can't access the admin pages....site appear fine to other users...

    I need help too.

    Hi coffeeandtango,

I have actually managed to sort the problem.

Go into your cPanel, and access the FTP or File Manager to delete the problem files.

For me, the isse was around the plugins, so I deleted the most recently installed plugins, and it was completely sorted.

    Hope this helps

Thanks, rchurch26 I did delete the files I though might be the problem, but it didn't fix anything it. I think it was the upgrade to 3.5.1 that messed things up.
My hosting company is suggesting a restore, which would be ok since I haven't changed much.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
