Redirect loop (5 posts)

Hello! I'm new to WordPress and have run into a bit of a problem. The install and importing seemed to go quite smoothly, however now if I hit virtually any link (including any in the admin section, try to login, etc) there seems to be a redirect loop that goes from:
wp-admin/ ----> wp-admin/post.php -----> wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php ------> wp-admin/ and so forth. Eventually my browser (Safari) brings up an error message (rightly so). What's quite weird is that this seems to be a 'rambling' problem - namely, if I hit the link enough times, it will eventually take me to the page, it might loop with one link but not another (but then if I hit the first link, it too will loop), and if I type in the link address manually, it may (but not always) actually bring me to the proper page.
I have no idea what I've done wrong. Is this a common problem? Does anyone have any idea about what I might do to stop this?
    Thanks! :o)

This happens to me as well. I know what causes it, but I'm not sure what causes the cause. My unanswered thread about it is here:
