• Hello,

My webhost is using WordPress 2.02 beta. My website has many pages other than the blogging pages. I want to create conspicuous links on my blogging pages that allow the user to go to our site’s home page, or other specified page (which are not blog pages). What is the easiest way to do this?

I tried using a third party ‘plug-in’ (technically its not a plug-in) called REDIRECT. I’ve double checked that I’ve followed their instructions. But this REDIRECT php script does not seem to be working, perhaps because my site is using WordPress v.2.02beta, though I saw it in a list of plug-ins that should work on v.2.0?
When you click on the page link that has the REDIRECT script attached to it, here is what happens:
    (error message)
    — The document has moved here.
(when you click on “here”, the same error page reloads. In the URL field of the browser, the URL of the blog home page appears)
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.—

A related question: I am using the BLix theme. For any ‘pages’ that are created, a button is created that is automatically placed in a horizontal row immediately beneath the header. They are editable in the control panel under manage-pages; except For page #1, which is created by default, and is called home, which takes you to the BLOG’s home page. This page is not editable in the control panel, it does not show up in the page lists in the control panel. Is there any way to delete this page/link; or at least rename it? The point being it will confuse users, who will expect it to take them to our website’s homepage.

Any help you can give me will be deeply appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Kyle-
