    I'm having a problem with a site at http://www.cheaphomedesigns.com. An upgrade I did this morning failed and the whole site is blank. For some reason the FTP isn't working properly and it's not allowing me to delete files properly or upload new ones. Till I get can this sorted I want to do a redirect of the site to an old version of the site at http://www.cheaphomedesigns.com/new/

    I edited the htaccess file so it would redirect but it's gone crazy and is listing as http://www.cheaphomedesigns.com/new/new/new/new/new/ etc.

    I've deleted the htaccess file but it's still doing it and I can't get it to show up the home page in the 'new' folder. Any ideas on how to fix this please?

    Instead of doing this with .htaccess, try creating an index.html file in the root directory with the following in it:

    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=http://www.cheaphomedesigns.com/new/">
    </head>
    </html>

    Thank you. That seems to work fine.
