I have a multisite that uses subfolders (for instance domainname.com/mysite).

I would like to have this site also available through for instance domainname.com/mysite2.

Is there a way to do this through .htaccess?

  2. Do you want to redirect (so if I go to domainname.com/mysite2 I'm sent to domainname.com/mysite) or have BOTH urls work?

    The former is easy :)

I'd like both URLs to work.
Actually per multisite, I have two languages. Everything within the site is translated with the WPML plugin. But now the client would also like to have the directory for the subsite translated.

If anyone has another idea to do this, also welcome, off course.

  4. There really isn't a good way for BOTH URLs to work. This isn't a multisite issue, mind, it's WP. It doesn't share well like that.

So if I understand this right, you have a multisite with two sites, and both sites need to have two langauges?

    Yes that's correct.

Actually, the client is fine with it. Something I need to think about for future setups like this.

  6. *ponder* I'd really probably make one site and use WPML or qTranslate to have each site multilingual as is, but it's really the bane of sites :/

Still. If you do it with Multlsite, you should maybe make four sites, one of each site and each language. Yes, separate. That will give you the best ability to customize.
