recursive redirect problem

This is my third WP site, but my first using a temporary URL (pending transfer of my domain name) and first using the SmallBiz theme. I’ve just installed it on Bluehost.com using the SimpleScripts package.

The home page seems fine, but when I try to visit any page linked to from the home page, a URL of the form

http://66.147.244.73/~sundogpu/?page_id=6

redirects to

http://66.147.244.73/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/~sundogpu/contact/

and of course fails.

What’s responsible for this behavior and how do I fix it? I haven’t messed with any of the settings apart from options in the theme.
