    Hi,

just trying out this plugin, I stocked on recuring events.
When I try to create a recuring event, it disappears and will also no longer stored in the database.

The Problem for me is reproduceable with new events as well as with already saved events.

Does anybody have the same issue or even a workaround?

    KR,

Can you describe in more detail what you did?
    – Are you sure the event isn’t just created in the past?
    – Are you sure the event is not in the database?
    – what are the settings you used? A screenshot is fine.
    Check also this: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?cat=21
and check your webserver logfiles for possible errors as well.

    Hi Franky,

    here are some more Details:

    – Are you sure the event isn’t just created in the past?
Yes, I am absolutely sure. I tried it several times.

    – Are you sure the event is not in the database?
Yes, I checked it with sql. All events are stored except the once I changed to recurring events. They were stored before and then disappeared.

    – what are the settings you used? A screenshot is fine.
    Start: 14/02/2014 End: 14/02/2014
    Series: activated/checked
    Frequency: monthly
Each last Friday of the month

A Screenshot of the setting do you find here:
    http://www.gewaltfrei-miteinander.de/Screenshot.jpg

Checked with SQL before editing the event:
    SELECT *
    FROM xxx_eme_events
    WHERE event_id = ‘7’
    LIMIT 0 , 30

    Result is fine.
After saving the result set is empty.

Logfiles doesn`t contain any errors (those I can see).

How do you expect a recurring event to happen every last Friday of the month when you say that the beginning and the end of the recurrence is today (a Sunday)?
As said when creating a recurrent event:
    – the event start and end date only define the duration of an event in case of a recurrence
    – your recurrence begin/end date should be when (logically) you want the recurrence to begin and end

    Hi,

mhm, I regret that doesn`t fit.
Even if I create an event beginning on Friday (14.02) an recurring on Friday (monthly or weekly) and begin on 14.02 and ends on 28.03 (for weekly) is a Friday the events get lost as well.

And for me it`s absolutely logical and practice to start on any date and the following dates could differ. (Might be a future request)

Show a screenshot again please. I think you’re mis-interpreting the different recurrence options.

Also: there’s already the possibility to have a recurrence on specific days that are not daily, weekly or monthly.

Oh, my dear! Now I got it! I am so sorry and yes, indeed there was a mis-interpreting on my side. Now everything works fine!!! ThxU!!!
