Recovering lost CSS after Upgrade (5 posts)

    Hello,

I just upgraded to 2.9.1, but I didn't realize when I upgraded that it would overwrite my custom styles. Unfortunately, I did not have an additional copy saved. For the future, I will do that from now on. But, since I don't have a copy right now, does anyone know if there is a way to recover my lost styles (style.css in the default theme folder).

Thank you so much for your help!

In theme default? just download a fresh copy and replace css files.
    What theme are you using?

I used the default theme to build my own styles off of. So, there is no fresh copy to download, since they were my own. I'm just wondering if there is a way to recover the old version of the style.css file I had in there previous to it being overwritten? Does that make sense?

Now I understand what the problem is :)

I'm not sure it can be done, you should always back up first your files before upgrade.

Ah well... figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Guess it's time to re-write that code! And definitely keep a back-up. Thanks!
