I have recently deleted a blog post through the admin dashboard, which had 4 comments tied to it. Really, all I need to recover are the comments. Any idea how I can recover them?
Thanks in advance!!!

Ps. I can't find the post or the associated comments in the database.
I believe your comments are gone now, as deleting the post also deletes the comments from the database. Your only option would be to find them in a backup.
Thanks for the reply!
Call me a little green, but does WP run auto-backups or is that something that has to be done manually on a periodic basis? This is a brand new WP site that I just put up on Friday. If it has been backed up between then and now, how would I know and where would I find the backup?
Again, sorry for the lack of knowledge on this...I'm pretty new to the "inner workings" of WP.
There are not any automatic backups in the core WordPress. So unless your hosting provider backs up your mysql databases I think you may have to chalk this one up to experience.
You can get plugins that will take backups for you, or you can use phpmyadmin to take manual backups if your hosting provider gives that option. See the codex pages for more info.
Thanks again.
