   I use WordPress as a CMS, so I have a static page rather than wordpress posts for my homepage.

   Can anyone recommend a suitable mobile plugin or theme that would fit these circumstances?

   I'm happy to run a copy of the site on a different domain and redirect for mobile browser detection.

   Here are a couple options.

   This is the most used:
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wptouch/

   And this one is for admin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mobile-admin/
