• Hi all,

I have a pretty basic site for an elementary school with mostly pages and using some posts for news and events that post on Full Throttle Calendars.

We use the “Recent Posts” to show news/events in the sidebar, but every post after one from 8/21/13 doesn’t show up. On the “posts” page, also, the most recent one to show up is from 8/21 even though there are 6-7 from after that.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins, deleting any unused, repairing the DB, nothing seems to work. Am I going to have to reinstall on a new directory and move the whole thing, or is there a way to fix this?

    thanks in advance…

Oh, btw, there was one plugin I had installed on 8/21, the same day of the last post that actually shows up – called Disable Comments. I deleted that plugin and directory, and that didn’t fix it. Could there still be something in the database from that causing this?

Did you use persistent mode while using Disable comments plugin? Are the comments closed on all your posts ?

Go to the edit page for the post you want to disable comments on. Scroll down to the “Discussion” box, where you will find the comment options for that post. If you don’t see a “Discussion” box, then click on “Screen Options” at the top of your screen, and make sure the “Discussion” checkbox is checked. You can also bulk-edit the comment status of multiple posts from the posts screen.

It’s a long shot but worth trying.

I only installed that disable comments plugin because I needed to get rid of comments on the “home” page and that was what I found at the time. (I later found that I could get rid of them using QuickEdit view, so I no longer need the plugin at all.)

So yes, the comments are closed on all posts.
