   On Settings>>Reading I have the front page set as Static, and the posts going to the "News" page. So far so good.

   I check the front page, however, and the Recent Posts section is still there, beneath the content of the static page. Not sure where the issue is?

   Aw, just discovered it. It's a widget. *duh*

   EDIT: Er, well apparently deleting the widget doesn't work, either...
