Download the zip file from the page you have mentioned. Read the readme, or the plugin/hack file for instructions.

I’ve read them again but there are no instructions how to use the plugin in a dropdown menu. It’s originally written to be displayed in a list and not in a dropdown menu. Any other clue?

A friend of mine wrote a variation of Nick Momriks Get Recent Posts (http://wiki.wordpress.org/Recent%20Posts) and a variation of the code written by KarlB (http://wordpress.org/support/10/10374) which displays most recent posts with date in a dropdown menu.
You can download the plugin and the readme file here:

Thanks! It works- but is there a way to shrink the size of the drop-down menu? It’s really hard to fit in a blog that has 3 columns.
Is there a way to have the drop down look like this (on the left column):
http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/ ?
What they did is tricky- I can’t find a script to help me do that anywhere.
Try adding this to your select line
style=”width:144px”
You may need to add slashes if the line is in a php line. ie
style=\”width:144px\”
I did that and the drop down list of recent posts is the same size as the one on that Little green footballs weblog.
Hope that helps.
