   Question, now with a network (I never used Mu), is it easier to get, say, the last two posts of each 'sub blog' in the sidebar of the main site? I never managed to do this when the main site was still html, but now everything is in the same database.

   There seem to be plugins that were upgraded from MU to 3.0, but they are only available for WPMU Dev Members?
   I also ran into a combination plugins that I can't get to work (and not find it anymore).
   Will these WPMU Dev plugins be available in the plugins directory?

   Hm, I can't seem to get anything to work. Feeds is not a nice-looking option and only seems to work when I have the 'meta' widget in the subblog that I want to get the feed from (otherwise I get an error 111). Isn't there a little piece of code that I can use in a text widget?

   Ah, MU devs online.
   That 'last updated sites' widget is a good start. The last post titles there would be great. The last two post titles for each site even better and the choice what sites perfect.

   The "featured blog widget" comes pretty close to what I need. This plugin/widget displays the last post titles from chosen blogs in the sidebar. Something like this to have these titles on the index would be great. As posts would be perfect, because people use the feed of my news section to know what is new on any section of the website.

   comes very close, but instead of just giving a linked title, it actually copies all posts including categories and tags to the database of the news-section. That hardly makes a news section, but rather an unordered blurb with everything of all other sites.

   I'm still chewing on this one and even bump the thread without novelties to mention. I managed to have the latest post titles in a sidebar widget using the wonderfull Featured Blog Widget. Now for the news section I'd like to have something similar, but not in the sidebar, rather in the post-area, ideally as posts so that feed-subscribers can still get their news as when I manually maintained the news section. I'm not enough of a coder to turn the Feature Blog plugin into something that offers the same functionality outside the sidebar. A mix between that plugin and the "Sitewide Tags" would be perfect. Suggestions are more than welcome.
