• Hi,

    I am a beginner in developing and I mistakenly edited the footer links and now my admin panel and every thing is blocked. Please help me out on how to recover this. I’ve worked a lot on my website and I don’t want to loose that please please please please help me!!!!

  • It sounds that the theme author added some restriction to it. Like whenever you remove any links in the footer your site will be blocked.

    Can you put the links back to the footer and let’s see if that should fixed the issue?

    I am also assuming the same thing but the problem is wordpress not even let me to my admin panel not even a single page on that domain, it is just stuck! I cant afford to loose my investment. please help me!

    Did you manually removed the footer links through code or admin?

    If you can’t get into the admin, then you need to access the database and manually change current_theme and template options in wp_options table. Change it back to the default WP theme.

    I changed it from the wp-admin panel manually, I think I should change it from the back end from the server

    You can change it back to the original footer links through the use of FTP. Just locate the file you have edited.

    I changed it from the code available at footer.php in the admin panel. Yes, I will work on it and hopefully it’ll work
