I am using this plugon on several sites now with great happiness. I am amazed how many intrusions it detects (and my sites gets) in terms of login attempts. I also use the 404 detection, file change warnings, and backup database function, and this is where I get an issue:
- file change warnings: on this site I received many of them, until I put my cache forlders in the whitelist. But the strange thing was: I receive almost as many warnings as there are file changed! I think on other sites I receive one warning for all file changes....
- Now I set a database backup every week, to be sent to me by email.
Today, I am receiving more than 1 backup per minute for the past 2 horus: that is literrally 100s of backups! I am checking my settings and nothing seems wrong.
I dont think I have something special on this site... It is hotsed on a shared server with 1and1 (inc ase it would have to do with the cron).
What may I do / check?
