    Hello Guys,

I am using Contact Form 7 right now and so far it works good. Well, I don't get the file attachments but I think that is just a rookie mistake by me and I can fix this.

But what bugs is the fact that I don't get the mails in a proper time. I receive them hours later and that just can't be right.

So my question is: Am I doing anything wrong? And on a further note: As far as I know an E-Mail can only be sent by Mailserver. Since I haven't found any settings where I can set up my own Mailserver the question is, which Mailserver is CF7 using?

    Greetings from Germany, Jacky D.

    Am I doing anything wrong?

Unlikely. The delay could be anywhere in the network between your site and your mail box.

    which Mailserver is CF7 using?

    PHP's inbuilt mailserver.

    Hi, thanks for the answer.

I still don't get it from where CF7 is sending Emails. Which PHP, from my Webspace?

Yes. The same PHP scripting language that is running your WordPress site. It has its own inbuilt mail function.

So, how can I than improve the speed, that mails will come faster?

Try using another email address? It's not a WordPress issue, so there's not a lot we can do to help.

Now that is something I don't understand because I'm not using an Email Adress which comes from my site. The mail are sent to Yahoo and I guess Yahoo with its big servers don't has any issue of delivering Emails fast enough.

Yeah, you already said that. So should I contact the creators of the form then?

It's not a WordPress or plugin issue! Try contacting your email providers.

I have changed the mail address to Gmail and now everything works fine. I have sent two test emails and they were immediately there. So, just a problem with Yahoo?!

I reckon so. I wouldn't recommend Yahoo email to a client if they asked for a recommendation. Apart from performance issues, they can block some mail.

I normally don't use Yahoo, it was just a test. But I never would have thought that this might be a problem with Yahoo. I mean, they are a big company. You don't expect that from a big company.
