  • Trying to activate the most recent (2.8.5) reCaptcha plugin but I keep getting a syntax error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /users/home/chrisl/web/public/wp-content/plugins/wp-recaptcha/wp-recaptcha.php on line 793

I tried the 2.8.4 version and got the same error, different line. I’ve tried de-activating all other plugins. No dice. I know this is some kind of problem with a mismatched bracket or something, but nothing is standing out and running the file through a syntax checker gave me no joy.

    Any ideas?

Same problem here, in fact I see from my web searches that lots of people are having the same problem.
so far the only useful solution I’ve found is to make sure your not using short posts (<? instead of <?php)

But I’m not and it’s still not working for me….
