    Hello,

I work with a company that keeps a website since 2006 or so.
In temrs of search engine rankings in Google, the site is doing very well in some critical search phrases.

The problem with the site is that the service supplier is way too expensive and the service is far from great. I want to offer the company to rebuild the website using WP. There's mostly plain content and products in it.

So here's the big questions -
Assuming I will keep a similar "sitemap", how do I rebuild a website and then let Google know a specific URL in the new wordpress installation reaplces a specific URL in the old site, so that I don't lose rankings?

    Thanks

Use 301 redirects in your htaccess file.
