    Hi everyone,

Ready to jump into using WP kinda as a CMS but would like to throw my 2 cents to the world in a few areas.

Mostly want a nice clean look for my site. My host has WP 2.3 in my cPanel so install is a snap. Once I start adding content I think my biggest question is changing themes. Will any 2.3 theme just tie in to the database? or kinda rebuild the site adding modules onto pages?

Anyway, going to do this tomorrow and play with the standard install. Thx for any tips :)

Will any 2.3 theme just tie in to the database?

pretty much with the exception of themes that were created prior to 2.2.x

    wordpress doesnt use modules.

OK. Does that mean that if I use a new 2.3 theme everything is just there and working? just in different spots because it's a new theme?
Or does it mean that I'm basically starting the site over?

I think I'm just most used to Forums and obviously you can do a forum in WP but this looks much better than a forum.

Thanks for responding. Coffee needed now. :)

Any theme is just the "clothing" of your blog.
All the content is the same (since everything is stored in the DB) - just the way it is displayed will be changed by any theme switch.

See http://themes.wordpress.net - the very same content is shown in every theme demo. Your blog will work the same way with different themes.
