reading page

    On a new install of 3.0.1 under settings, my reading settings does not give an option for having the home page be either a static page or blog posts. Is this the way it should be in 3.0.1? Thanks.

    I think that this must be because you do not have created any pages yet. After you’ve added new pages, the option to use your home page as a static page should appear.

    No – it’s not. Are you missing the “Front page displays…” sub-section completely? Or can’t you select the static page radio button? Do you have any published Pages yet?

    You are right, as soon as I created a page, the option appeared. Thanks for the help.

    Addendum. The “No – it’s not” comment in my post was in response to the original post. Not crondeau’s correct answer. 🙂
