Read More tag doesn’t appear to work in Rubric theme

The more quicktag is available in Rubric and inserts into my post publisher when I click it. But when the post is published, it publishes the full text, rather than the first few paras followed by a link I could click through.

I’m not 100% which version of WordPress I’m using… I’ve just tried to check but it’s been month since I wrote anything and I’m not even sure where to find that out anymore. I know isn’t the newest one. Helpful.

I tried adding some code suggested on the forums for a similar problem in a different theme (as that was all I could find) to the stylesheet and pre-viewed it but it screwed up the header so I was obviously doing something wrong. It also said I had to pay for an upgrade in order to simply edit the stylesheet. This seems like rather a lot of effort for something that I would have thought should have been fairly easy to change?

Any suggestions?
