Read and write emails in wordpress?

    Hi, I was wondering if there was a plugin or something that would allow me to read emails and respond to them within my WordPress dashboard. If there isn’t, I think that would be a nice thing to add the the next generation of WordPress.

    There are some mass mailing and community/newsletter and administrative oriented mail plugins available, however I don’t think WordPress itself is geared toward controlling email communications or correspondence like some groupware suites or other applications you may already be familiar with. I think WordPress uses php mail functions to send email notifications for new user registration, admin notification, etc… by default, but I suppose one is only limited by ones own imagination and ingenuity.
