Re-sizing images

I’ve recently updated my version of custom community to the latest and I’ve noticed a few problems with my site. Most are minor and I’ve either solved them or found a work around but the biggest problem that I’m having is that I can’t seem to resize my images. No matter how much I change the height and width the image on the page stays at the same dimensions.

I done a bit of googling and this is a know issue with some other themes with the style.css having the width and height set to auto in the content div (Here). I’m pretty new to wordpress & html/css but I had a quick look at the style.css file and couldn’t really see anything that was obviously similar. I’m not really sure what the problem is or how to go about fixing it so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
