Noticed the all in one seo plugin blocking search engines from our site http://liftedwebsites.com/. The only thing that was different was we changed and modified themes.

When looking at source code I noticed the nofollow no index within that plugin.. Has anyone had that happen through this plugin before.. I switched to Yoast and it’s being indexed again but site went to no PR from a 4..

I’ve heard of this happening with Yoast. I always use SEOPressor. It’s a paid plugin but it works 10x better and has more features. Review here: http://seopressor5.net. Hope this helps. Sorry to hear about your pr issue. Also you might want to check your links for no-follow tags.

Thanks for the heads up I will check out that plugin.

PR is affected by the quality and quantity of backlinks; likely not impacted by activities through use of SEO plugins.

Thanks Gabe and we agree but I was just curious if someone had this happen to their seo plugin with either a WordPress theme change or hack/injection..

We lost the toolbar PR at the same time that our site was completed blocked from the search engines due to the no index, no follow that was within this plugin’s code.
