    When trying to add custon input html tag like
    <input type="text" name="s" />
    <input type="submit" class="button" value="Search" />

    (default WP search box) in a static page, those fields are stripped from the html code.

    What I am actually missing? is this the correct behaviour? If yes, how can i change this, so that if I use input html tags when writing raw html code these are kept?

    Thank you.

    is this the correct behaviour?

    Not as far as I know. I don't have any problem entering raw markup into the HTML editor/tab. Do you have any editor plugins running? Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem?

    Well i tried and it still doesn't work.
    I double checked wordpress 2.8, and I've seen that on wordpress 2.8.2 I can insert input tags, but I am using wordpress mu 2.8.2 and i can't.
    I supposed it was the same code..

    Maybe this is not the appropriate forum :(

    Sorry..

    Same issue here. I'm trying to insert input tags an they get stripped out.

    This seems to fix it (I haven't tested it much)
