    I never see something more ugly in my live :( I am sorry but I look wordpress so powerfull and now when i start use it the must simple think and important is so hard.
    I lost 3 days looking for plugins or acceptable ways to create a login / register acceptable, and even now is a time completely lost, almost useless. The most beautiful I've been doing is not working well because it shows user name and access the user dashboard forces rather than just access the profile.
    Joomla undoubtedly is much better in this respect.

    My rating to Wordpres as related to login / register is zero very big.

    I am not a user with big knowledgeable, but I know enough to do well and wordpress has hindered me a lot on the topic of login and registration. I hope they can improve that much better.

    You need to define roles for each of the users! It's simple.... you're banging your head too much..., use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/role-scoper/

    I have asked in many forums including here and no respone absolutely nothing.
    This issue has become a terrible headache. My blog has 1 single column so look for ways to implement a login / register in the head, menu, or drop ...
    I've done, but I do not want users to access the control panel, only the profile that is customized by the plugin (Customize Your Community)

  4. There are plugins, but also just standard inline PHP calls that can be used.

    Like this: http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/07/09/how-to-place-a-login-form-in-the-sidebar/

    Am I right in understanding that you just want a login form on the front end of your site?

    GG thanks Ipstenu, I dont have sidebar, I just have 1 column on my site for all the content, for that I try to implement in my theme a login/register without change a lot my theme. Now I use the plugin SimpleModal Login customized but for call the function i edit functions.php and add this:

    add_filter('wp_nav_menu_items', 'add_login_logout_link', 10, 2);
    function add_login_logout_link($items, $args) {

            ob_start();
            wp_loginout( $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] );
            $loginoutlink = ob_get_contents();
            ob_end_clean();
            $items .= '<li>'. $loginoutlink .'</li>';
        return $items;
    }
    add_filter('wp_nav_menu_items', 'add_register_link', 10, 2);
    function add_register_link($items, $args) {

            ob_start();
            wp_register('');
            $registerlink = ob_get_contents();
            ob_end_clean();
            $items .= '<li>'. $registerlink .'</li>';
        return $items;
    }

    Look it here:http://www.arrastheme.com/forums/post26137.html#p26137

    I hope found a solution I'll go crazy.

  6. Yeah, that's pretty customized for your theme, so you may need help from them directly. :( The basics are the same but since you need theme specific help, that's your best bet.
