Hi,
How many rules do you have and are you using the plugin on multiple sites with the same Twitter account connected to it?
I using this plugin in one website and included there 3 rules
Are you setting the API keys manually or use the Connect button to get authenticated?
I tried both method and both method return the same error
Use the Connect button then to be safe.
You have only three rules so tell me each value set to the Cache Duration option.
Cache Duration in each rule has default value (1200)
Which Tweet type are your rules using, Search, User Name, or List?
I create rule as User Name
Do all the rules use User Name, not List or Search?
What do you see if you click on the View link on the rule listing table in the Manage Rules page?
I see the same error “Fetch Tweets: Rate limit exceeded Code:88” when I click on link
Get the value in the User Name option and open the page in your browser
https://twitter.com/{username}
where {username} is the value used in the User Name option.
And make sure if you are not getting the page with the message, “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”.
Yes I do it and I get “Fetch Tweets: Sorry, that page does not exist Code:34” in a link in the Manage Rule page
Sorry no,
I set https://twitter.com/{username} as a Rule Name
When I open in browser https://twitter.com/{username} a get normaln twitter page
That is it. We’ve narrowed down the cause. Just enter the valid user name then.
Currently the plugin does not cache results for errors so the invalid user name was making your rate limit run out.
[edit] Oh, wait, I did not see your last reply.
If you access this url: https://twitter.com/non-existing-user , do you see “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”?
And if you access the url: https://twitter.com/{username} , replacing {username} with the user name set in the option, don’t you see the same page that says, “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”?
