    Hello everybody,
I’m using WordPress 3.5.1 and Nextgen Gallery 1.9.12 with NGG Powertags for images filtering and everything’s fine so far.
My only concern is: how on earth to set thumbnails to show on random order on page refreshing?

    The website is: http://www.emanuelebastoni.com/mobile

I’ve found lots of hints over the internet, and yet looking for a comprehensive tutorial/guide/whatever.
Please, if you think you’re going to help by supplying code chunks, would you please be so kind to also clearly specify where these chunks should be putted?
I’m a newbie and learning WP the hard way… 🙂

  • I use short code [Random Max=12] number could be anything you want it to be and it selects 12 different photos on refresh assuming you are using nextgen galleries

    [Random Max=12]

This is shortcode I’m currently using, in order to benefit from tags filtering by NextGen Gallery Powertags plugin:
    [nggpowertags gallery=3 tagmenu_format=empty all_word=PORTFOLIO]

I have tried to include your code outside and within square brackets, with no success… :O

I did reverse way, and finally proved that NextGen Gallery Powertags plugin somehow interferes with correct NGG behaviour, so I’ll further investigate to find a solution out.

    Thank you,
    Stefano

I like that power tag shortcode…. looks good. But for me the random short code is what I was looking for
