   I want a small PHP function that can take a user-specified list and display it somewhere, and if possible I want to know how to make a little box on the admin page to make the list.

   Try the GrabLabs widget. It lets you create lists of links on the fly for each of your posts.

   Well that's not exactly what I need. I need something that will randomly display random quotes, like the 101 Tech Quotes plugin, only the quotes won't have a name attributed to them. I would modify the 101 Tech Quotes plugin, but I don't know PHP that well.
