Is there a ‘random quote’ plugin that I can use on my blog?

Like the Hello Dolly plugin for the wordpress admin panel, but for my blog?

Like, it would show random quotes on each page load?

    Thanks

kingdomplace – alternatively, I’ve created a randomizer-plugin that can take multiple strings (quotes, pics, links, etc) and randomly output them…

    It’s available from http://linux.linux.dk/projects/randomize/

Where to I put the witty.txt file?

    That goes into wp-content doesn’t it ?

I’m using your Randomizer plugin. Ive entered some quotes but when I enter a new one, it tells me:

Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /home/vhosts/kingdomplaceblog.savefile.org/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/randomize.php on line 65

WordPress database error: [Query was empty]

    Doh! Wasn’t inserted…

I’m using Donkie Quote which has a couple of things I like: it stores quotes in the database, and has a quote author and link field as well.

    kingsomplace,

Most likely because you have a % or similar ‘strange’ character in your quote. As the homepage says, this is still on the todo:
    > Handle html-tags and special characters better

I’m sorry about that. Should work if you stay away from such characters…
