    The site is Northsider.northside.net

Early this week, I received a string of random comments on the same day that I thought were spam, but think now that they were being re-directed from another comment page-because of the content. People appeared to be responding to each other about a plugin, but the comments had nothing to do with our online community newspaper and didn't appear to be attached to a particular page and they all came in within - is that just a different kind of spam?

Additionally, we are located in the United States and we received a comment form from someone in South Africa, I googled the info and it appeared to be legitimate info, not spam. Not sure what I am suppose to do to fix this. Here was the comment form submission:

    [ Redacted ]
Comment: A huge bag of mail for residents in the Honeydew area was left in the rain at Bushy Park last friday.
We do not know what to do with it and why was it left at our gate. Somebody paid for the mail to be
    delivered.
    Phone: [ also redacted ]

    Time: March 19, 2014 at 4:16 am
    IP Address: 41.151.21.102
    Contact Form URL: http://northsider.northside.net/?page_id=60
Sent by an unverified visitor to your site.

    Any idea what is happening?
    Thanks!

Sometimes, it's a bit like rave parties in the 1980s: choose a random venue and all turn up there to do your thing. Same thing with comments. Disaffected teenagers (or people who need to get legal / illegal messages to each other) choose a random comments page and use it for their communications for a while ... then move on.

But whoever they are, you shouldn't be posting someone's email and phone number on a public website ...

I agree and I've redacted those parts. Also I'm not sure what this has to do with the Customizr theme...

As far as choosing a random comments page to post on, I didn't approve any of the comments so they were never public- but I guess people have ways to get around this.

In reference to posting email and phone numbers, my mistake, I didn't think through posting that info on a public forum. I wanted to ensure those reading knew that this wasn't spam. It appears to me that this person was trying to submit a contact form to a different site and somehow it came to me. If that's the case I don't know how to fix it or what I'm suppose to do about it.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the Customizr theme

I use the Theme Customizr- I didn't install a contact form plugin. When I tried to research where to post my question, there didn't seem to be a forum specifically addressing this type of issue, so I thought this was a good place to start.

At the end of the day, it's not that big of a deal- I just wondered if I needed to do something about it, or report it as an issue. I'm over it.
