Quotation Marks Turned to code

    I just updated my site to WP 2.2.1 and all my quotation marks and apostrophes have turned to code. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any easy fix, other than going into every file and replacing every curly quote with straight ones?

    I posted about this problem, and so did at least one other user (Moshu?). We didn’t get any comments, suggestions, or solutions.

    I think that means we get to hand-edit all our old entries (in my case, hundreds of them, both posts and pages).

    I seriously doubt I’ll ever upgrade again.

    I started last night and made it to March. It is going to be a real pain to do this.
