   I try to add a new page and make the permalink: /forums/

   But now it shows up as /forums-2/.

   I dont have any other pages named /forums

   How do I clear the old permalinks, or specifically just this one?

   Try edit your page via http://your-blog-url/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

   Once there, you can edit the page permalink right below the title.

   I did that, but when I label it /forums it makes it /forums-2, so i'm guessing it's thinking I have another /forums labeled post. How can i clear that?
