Questions about registration in my blog

    After other people register in my blog, a email with the password should be sent, i would like what i need to do before this auto-email function works?
    For example, set email server? somethings like that, etc
    But where should i set it, and what other things i need to do?

    Anyone can help?

    WordPress uses the standard php sendmail() function to send out password emails for new registrations, so it will use the server email address to send email. What are you hoping to configure with these emails? Best bet would be to do a “test” user registration on your install to see what it comes up with.

    I have tried to do a ‘test’ on registration, that is no email sent to myself.
    And when i tried to click ‘lost password’, after i have type in the username and email address, it gave me the following message:
    The e-mail could not be sent.
    Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…

    Do I need to change any code in the program?
    i.e. if i have set the email function, is that i don’t need to make any amendment on the code?
