    Hi,

First of all great plugin, i'm working hard to reduce the load on a box generated from category & tag queries.

I wish to preload these pages.

I found the preload setting interesting, i was wondering if i make a sitemap that only specificly points to the first page of category / tag pages (Not sure how to do this), will it only preload the first page? I really can't have the cache preloader preload 400-500 pages every 10 minutes it's just not gonna be worth it.

Most users just enter the tag/category to see the first page anyway, so to preload that first part is important to reduce the load on the box.

    Any ideas?

If you build your xml sitemap with just those pages you want to preload then that is what you'd get. Though the way W3TC works it takes someone hitting your site for the preload to check and fire.

Also my experiences with the newest version of W3TC havin't been very good regarding the preload, hopefully it will work better for you.

If you are asking about creating the sitemap I'd look at the Google XML Sitemap plugin it might have the options you need. Or use it to take a sitemap and then manually edit that file to your needs.
